Cpt. Caveman's TTM Autographs Bonus Post Graphing The Houston Texans Training Camp Day - 5

Welcome to another bonus in person graphing post. Once again I headed out solo Tuesday for my fifth day of the Texans training camp. The team had yesterday off so it was good to be back out graphing again. As always I arrived at the training facility around eleven o'clock and met up with my friend who is out getting autographs just as much as I am at training camps and the PGA. We made it to our normal spot along the signing line and watched another great practice and got everything ready for when they finished up. The weather for today called for rain and it was supposed to get really bad  just about the time the team would finish up for the day and the clouds in the sky looked like it could just pour it down at any minute but luckily the graphing gods had our back's today because it never rained a drop until later that evening after practice ended and the team finished up a little early today so it worked out perfectly. When practice did finally wrap up eleven or so players headed over to the signing line and began signing away. Just as I was getting started with my first player we noticed Whitney Mercilus walk up to the middle of the line and started signing. I immediately pulled out my photo I wanted him to sign and headed to an open spot just down the line from him and waited my turn. He signed my picture then I headed down to the end of the line and waited for him and got him to sign one of my mini footballs. After that I went and got eight of the other players that signed today then stood back and watched everyone getting stuff signed. After everyone finished up I called it a day and headed home before the rain hit and got all my stuff wet. It's calling for more rain tomorrow hopefully it holds off again but either way rain or shine I'll still be back out tomorrow for another day with the Texans. So until the enjoy a few pictures and my autographs from today's Texans training camp.

Cpt. Caveman's TTM Autographs Bonus Post Graphing The Houston Texans Training Camp Day - 4

Welcome to another bonus in person graphing post. I headed out solo today for my fourth day of the Texans training camp. I arrived shortly after eleven and as always met up with my friend who is out getting autographs just as much as I am and got to my normal spot along the signing line and watched another great practice. All our favorite players were out on the field today and I hoped a few of the bigger names would come over to sign today since they have tomorrow off. Everyone was energetic and looked like they were in a good mood today so anything was possible. As practice was coming to an end most of the players started heading inside but we noticed Deshaun Watson take his pads and jersey off and hung around a little while so we thought he might come over and sign today but that never happened and he eventually grabbed his gear and headed inside. The day wasn't a total loss because seven of the offensive players came over and signed down the line and most of them took the time to sign for everyone out waiting and I was able to add them to the multi picture I started yesterday. It was another fun day out graphing the Texans but unfortunately they have tomorrow off so I'll be heading back Tuesday for another day of graphing. So until Tuesday have a great graphing day and enjoy a few pictures and my autographs from today's Texans training camp.

Cpt. Caveman's TTM Autographs Bonus Post Graphing The Houston Texans Training Camp Day - 3

Welcome to another bonus in person graphing post. Winter and myself headed out for our third day of the Texans training camp hoping to get some quality graphing time together. We arrived at the training facility shortly after 11 this morning and met up with a couple of other local grapher friends and watched today's practice while simultaneously keeping an eye out for our favorite players and the ones we really wanted to get autographs from. Practice went well and ended slightly early. It was alittle more crowded along the line today because Saturdays usually see more fans in attendance but it still wasn't push and shove crowded. Just as practice ended we all watched J.J. Watt return to the spot we got him to sign at yesterday and Winter took off running to catch him so she could get a picture signed for another collector and big fan I knew who had Watt on the top of her most wanted list and as always Winter came through and got J.J. to sign her photo then quickly returned to our spot along the signing line to get the couple of players that came over to sign today. We both added a few on some multi pictures and then called it a day after all the players went inside. The graphing today wasn't as good as it was yesterday but we got a total of eight autographs today between the two of us including another Watt that's going to a great fan who helped me get one of my most wanted. We had fun and atleast got some ink today so it was still a good day for us. We're heading back out tomorrow for another fun graphing day of Texans training camp so until then enjoy a few pictures and our autographs from today's camp.

Cpt. Caveman's TTM Autographs #159

Welcome back for another weekly TTM success post. This week's TTM success post is a special one because it falls on the third anniversary of Cpt. Caveman's TTM Autographs TTM autograph collecting blogs very first post. We had an autograph giveaway contest to celebrate and I'll be announcing the winner here and on the Cpt. Caveman's TTM Autographs Facebook page but first I wanted to thank those that entered the contest and I especially wanted to thank everyone who stops by our blog every week by to check out our autographs. I've met so many amazing TTM autograph collectors through our sharing and we've really come to love helping other fans and real collectors when we can. So thanks again and here's hoping the next three years brings us all full mailboxes full of TTM goodness. Unfortunately it was a slow no TTM mail week for us and that was a bummer but at least we're out graphing the Houston Texans training camp so the weeks not without autographs but it would have been nice to see at least one return this week but empty mailboxes happen. Anyways that's it for this week. Have a great graphing weekend and I'll be back next week with more TTM autographs and address's.

Cpt. Caveman's TTM Autographs Bonus Post Graphing The Houston Texans Training Camp Day - 2

Welcome to another bonus in person graphing post. Today was the second day of the Texans training camp and even after yesterday's crushing defeat with noone signing autographs we headed back to try again. We arrived around eleven in the morning and headed into the training facility to find our spot. Today I brought my daughter Winter and one of her friends with me. After getting through security we arrived at our usual spot and watched today's practice. The Texans are looking pretty good and as long as they can keep the injuries down this year they might have a great season. After watching practice for a little while I noticed J.J. Watt and some other defensive players doing drills in the back corner so we decided to go hang out there hoping J.J. would come over and sign when they finished up. Unfortunately alot of others has the same idea and the area quickly filled up to watch Watt. Close to the end of practice J.J. and the others moved back closer to the main field and closer to the autograph line. Luckily when J.J. went 99.9 % of the fans waiting rushed to that side of the practice field with him. I decided we'd just hang out there and see what happens along with a few other fans that stayed and if nothing else we could rush back to the main area if we needed to. At the very end of today's practice the stars aligned and just like I hoped J.J. walked back over by himself and did a few things with the tackling dummies and when he finished he walked right over to the few fans still waiting. He was super nice and talked with everyone while taking pictures with people and signing autographs. Winter and her friend both had him sign a mini football and I got my picture signed. By this time others noticed him signing and the crowd quickly grew. He still signed a bunch of people's stuff but when it got to be to many people he stopped and headed inside for the day. By the time we finished with Watt we noticed thirteen other players heading to the autograph line so we walked back over just in time to get them to sign. This definitely made up for noone signing the day before and we all had a great time meeting the players and getting autographs. After they signed for pretty much everyone in line they headed inside and we headed home with a smile on our faces and a total of 38 autographs between the three off us including three J.J. Watt autographs. I'm expecting that more fans will be in attendance tomorrow since it's Saturday and hopefully doesn't put the players off signing. Anyways you can guess what we'll be doing tomorrow but until then enjoy a few pictures and our autographs from our second day at the Houston Texans training camp.

Cpt. Caveman's TTM Autographs Bonus Post Graphing The Houston Texans - Day 1

Welcome to another bonus in person graphing post. Today was the first day of the Houston Texans training camp that's being held at The Greenbrier Sporting Complex in White Sulphur Springs West Virginia and I bet you can guess what we've been out doing. This is the Texans second year coming here to Greenbrier county. The NFL teams sign a three year contract to use the facility so we have one more year with Houston after this year then we'll get a new team to graph for three years. For our first day we headed over to the training facility around eleven o'clock in the morning since camp starts at 10:40 every day this year and then it ends at 1:10 in the afternoon with a quick autograph session after practice. As always I had my trusty see through bag full of photo's, footballs and a large assortment of sharpies and paint pens and of course I had my secret weapon with me Winter my 13 year old daughter who loves graphing just as much as I do. Last year the Texans made you work for the ink by only having a couple of players coming over to sign each day and it really seemed like it was up to the players themselves to decide whether or not they came over to sign. The more popular players tended to be a little tougher to get. J.J. Watt only occasionally singed and when he did he'd only sign a couple here and there at a few spots along the line before taking off inside causing everyone trying for him to swarm the area he was signing at making it alittle difficult. Clowney never signed one time the entire two weeks and quarterback Deshaun Watson only signed on two days but when he did he took the time to sign stuff and took pictures with everyone that wanted one. We headed in hoping that this year they would be alittle better but prepared ourselves to work for the ink just Incase we had to. We met up with another graphing friend of mine and made our way to our usual spot along the fence line right next to the football field and just outside of the kids only autograph zone and watched today's practice and patiently waited for the sharpie boys to come out with their big bags full of sharpies. Their appearance always signals us that it's almost time for the players to sign autographs and time for us to pull out our pictures and sharpies an be ready. When they came out with a hand full of sharpies we were ready to go but sadly we watched as every single Texans player walked inside and didn't sign any autographs or interact with the fans leaving alot of disappointed kids and fans just waiting and waiting. Finally after awhile someone from the team came out and told us all that they wouldn't be signing autographs today and everyone eventually gave up and left. So our first day didn't go as planned but we'll be heading back tomorrow to try again but until then enjoy a few pictures but no autographs from the first day of the Texans training camp.

Cpt. Caveman's TTM Autographs #158

Welcome back for another weekly TTM success post. This week finally ended our almost three week TTM dryspell. It really stinks seeing an empty mailbox for weeks especially when others are getting returns back from the people you've written. You start to worry if yours got lost in the mail or maby it just got skipped and passed over in the huge stacks of fanmail and autograph requests that celebs get. Maby the mail man took it lol. We laugh and joke but mail does get stollen from time to time. Anything could could happen we just never know but in most cases we eventually get get our pictures back signed but nothing is guaranteed in this hobby. Most of the time it just takes the patience to wait it out but then again sometimes it just takes writing another letter and spending another request. I usually try to wait at least a year before I retry unless it's someone I know that normally responds quickly then I might try again after six months. Sometimes that works sometimes it doesn't but it increases the odds of you getting that autograph you really want to return. So remember never give up hope when waiting on a TTM request you've sent but when you do and all else fails wait awhile and retry. Anyways now on to this week's TTM successes. Friday ended our dryspell when I received my one photo back signed by Apollo 13 Astronaut Jim Lovell after a quick eight days. This was my second attempt my first try about two years ago came back as a Return To Sender but it looks like he's been signing more lately so I figured it was time to try again and it paid off. Saturday brought one last return for the week when we received our Archer DVD cover back signed by Chris Parnell after only three weeks. So that's all for this week. Have a great graphing weekend and I'll be back next week with more TTM autographs and address's and don't forget to enter the autograph giveaway contest HERE
