Cpt. Caveman's TTM Autographs #55

-

Welcome back to another weekly TTM success post. I hope everyone had a great week and full mail boxes. Since this week we've been graphing the Saints ill keep my rant short. I noticed something while graphing the Saints. I saw a bunch of "Fans" turn to haters when they didn't get someone's autograph. They would go from hey I love you please sign this but when they got skipped or passed up well then they are no longer a fan I guess from all the hate and badmouthing once the player was gone lol not everyone was like that but more than a few. I realized not only does this happen with IP graphing but IV also seen TTM graphing with "Fans" unhappy with a failed attempt. Then its automatically that celebs rude and stuck up blah blah blah. These same people complaining because they didn't get an autograph I noticed were also the "Fans" with a ton of stuff for the players to sign. Books full of multiple 8x10's for most players, Balls and helmets. It just makes no sense to me. Putting down someone because they don't sign for you or they only sign for a couple people then leave. Remember no one has to sign for us either IP or TTM its a courtesy to the fans and if you fail don't get mad at them just try again later no big deal. Same thing with TTM who cares if its unsigned or a RTS you can always retry. Its just simple common courtesy and manners. No point in turning on someone simply because your disappointed. Failure makes us better. With every failed attempt you learn and hopefully change tactics and keep on graphing with a smile. I believe if you're a true fan of the person it makes no difference if you get the autograph or not. Yea its awesome to get an autograph but the experience of meeting them and trying is just as important. Anyways enough of my ranting and on to the successes. I know that's why everyone's really here anyways lol, so enjoy. Monday started the week with four returns. First we received one of the two pictures we sent back signed from Tracey Walter. He's been in so many great films. "Conan The Destroyer", "Repo Man" and "Batman" just to name a few. It took about two and a half months to return and its a great addition to my Conan cast collection. Next a very cool VV return from John C. McGinley. Iv been a fan of his work for years ever since I first watched "Platoon" and Winter loved him in "Scrubs" and "Office Space" and only took two weeks to return. The next return came from Herman's Hermits front man Peter Noone. He signed one of the two photos we sent and only took two weeks to return. I had the opportunity to see Herman's Hermits in concert back in 2006 and met Mr. Noone after the concert and he signed a promo DVD that they threw out to a few members of the audience. To finish off the day we received another PP from President Obama. We tried when he was first elected to office getting a few PP photos so I figured id write a super nice letter and try again before he left office but only got this PP card back after a couple months wait. Tuesday brought two more very cool successes. First after only seven quick day's we received both pictures we sent to Carole Cook back signed. She also sent us two really nice signed 8x10's also, such a sweet and amazing actress. To finish off the day we received our picture and autograph card back signed from Michael Jaegers who plays a few of the walkers on "The Walking Dead". He also sent us two very cool signed 8x10's and a nice thank you note telling us about his work with KNB and took just under three months to return. Thursday brought a great return from Racing Legend Richard Petty. He signed Winters picture and only took a week to return. We also received a Studio Fan Mail return from Seth Green after trying him at the "Family Guy" set address. Friday brought a return for Winter from Astronaut Robert Crippen. He signed both pictures she sent and only took ten days to return. I also received my signed "Rumours" CD I ordered from Mick Fleetwood. It only took three days to arrive. Now I just need Lindsey Buckingham and Christine McVie to finish my Fleetwood Mac collection. If anyone has authentic ones of them there looking to get rid of contact me lol. Saturday brought two more returns to finish off the week. First after a quick eight day wait for Joanne Linville so sign and return both Star Trek TOS pictures we sent her. To finish up the day and week we received both pictures back signed from Eric Roberts. Great addition to our collection and it only took him four months to reply. That's it for this week. Have a great weekend. Ill be back next week with more TTM autograph collecting goodness. FYI we obtained our 1000th autograph this week. Well we blew past it thanks to a great TTM week and our graphing the Saints. All in all it was a great graphing week for us. Also check out the Special Graphing the Saints post for daily IP updates with autographs and pictures from training camp.

Cpt. Caveman's TTM Autographs Special Bonus Post Graphing The New Orleans Saints Part 1 and 2

-
-
Welcome to a special bonus IP graphing post.
This week the New Orleans Saints return to The Greenbrier Sports Complex here in White Sulpher Springs West Virginia for Training Camp and you know what that means right?
Autographs! The Saints arrived Wednesday the 27th and after reporting the team helped rebuild a local park and football field for the local kids that was destroyed in the recent flooding. Thursday the 28th was the first official practice and was open to the public. We arrived in town a little after 9 in the morning. Training runs from 9:30-12:30 with players signing autographs after. So with plenty of time we found one of the few last parking spaces at one of the bus pick up points to travel to the sports complex. Just our luck a few schools football teams all stood waiting on the bus when we arrived and after 3 buses full left we finally got on one. Its a free event but you can only gain access by riding the shuttle buses they provide, but they charge $5 for adults and $2 for children 12 and under so its really not a bad deal. After a short bus ride and security check we found our spot along the fence right on the 50 yard line and watched Drew Brees and the rest of the Saints do what they do best. Today wasn't a padded practice so it was alot of drills but still great to watch. We took a bunch of photos. Ill share some below with some of today's autographs. Towards the end of practice people started coming down and lining up along the fence. When the players started to come over to the line it was like the entire line did the wave but instead of people its was a wave of sharpies being pulled out, including Winter and me who were both armed with a pocket full of multi colored sharpies that we never used because the players already came armed with them. Once the signing started things went pretty smoothly with players coming down the line talking, signing and taking pictures. One player informed us that instead of everyone coming over to sign like in previous years that only so many players will sign a day and they rotate daily. This worked out pretty well, everyone got multiple autographs and had a great time but I was starting to worry that our main one we came for Drew Brees might not sign today. After most of the days players that were signing started to finish up Brees started to walk over to the line and started signing about 50 feet down and was going the other direction. Well this didn't make a bunch of people happy at the beginning of the line and he kept signing towards the end, so that crowd figured out what was going on and made a dash to surround Brees. Winter and a alot of other kids tried getting in to him but a bunch of older adults wouldn't dare move for them. Winter tried a few more times to push in until finally I just picked her up and lifted her above all the adults and close enough for Drew to see her calling to him. He came over laughed, smiled and signed her card. After that she was one happy camper lol. We went back down to our original spot and while Winter got a few more autographs on her hat I went and got the other two Quarter Back's that had come over to sign. We had an amazing graphing day. We got the main player we really wanted and walked away with 23 Saints autographs and this is only the first day. After it was all over we walked back to the car because it was really close and the line for the shuttle was way to long lol. We had such a great time and weather permitting we'll have more to come. Stay tuned right here for daily updates on our graphing experiences at the New Orleans Saints Training Camp. Enjoy we sure did it was a great way to celebrate the blogs anniversary. Ill be back Saturday with this weeks TTM successes with new autographs and tested addresses.

DAY 2
*
-
We arrived a little later the second day because we had some errands to run before we went. When we got there they had about an hour left until they finished up. We were in a different location today they have another field down in a hidden spot below the main complex. Everyone was lined up and waiting when the Saints started to come over and sign. Things went great today. The players that signed today started at one end and went down signing for anyone who wanted one. The Quarter Backs waited until everyone else was about done then they came over to sign and it was the same situation with them. All three including Drew Brees started at one end and signed for anyone that had something to sign. I got a card signed and then Winter got another signed by Drew. Her 2nd she's a natural born grapher lol. Everyone was great and took pictures with anyone that asked. Winter got Tom Benson the owner of the team when he rode up on a golf cart but he hung out for only a few minutes and left. Head coach Sean Payton walked up and down the line but didn't sign or acknowledged anyone. It was a much better atmosphere today then yesterday when everyone just rushed Brees. The nice woman beside us was overjoyed to tears and shaking away after getting Drew to sign her football. Winter had a blast and added more signatures to her hat and we both got alot of autograph and index cards signed. Our total today was 45 autographs including our double Brees score. Hopefully if the weather hold out tomorrow will be just as good. Enjoy the pictures from today and the autographs we got today graphing the Saints training camp I know we enjoyed getting them.
