Cpt. Caveman's TTM Autographs #85

-
Welcome back for another weekly TTM success post. I hope everyone had a great graphing week. Our weeks been a slow one so I thought I'd talk a little about Patience and no I don't mean the Guns n Roses song lol. This hobby can be hard on inpatient collectors. I'm always seeing people asking why it's been 2-3 months and they haven't received a reply yet. I'm always pleasantly surprised when a success returns quickly. Sometimes it only takes a few weeks or a couple months but that's not always the case. Sometimes it can take a year or two before something returns. Even with celebs that usually return quickly your letter could just be buried under newer fan mail or schedule changes could cause them to take longer at replying. Worst case scenario your request letter or returning SASE could be lost, damages or even stolen while in route. Those are usually rare occurrence's but it does happen. I never get worried until its been a year or longer then I'll usually just retry unless its a signer that's known to take years to reply. Iv seen other TTM collectors get returns after 5-10 years and we've had several return that we never thought we'd see again after several years so there's always hope. As always there's never any guarantee anything we send will ever return but it's always great when something does. I know how it feels when you see everyone else getting returns back from a celeb you wrote and yours hasn't came back yet it stinks but usually it eventually shows up and if not just retry. So just be patient I promise you'll enjoy TTM collecting 100% more than stressing out over something you have no control over. Now on to this weeks success. Saturday brought the first and only return of the week when after only seven days both Star Trek pictures we sent returned signed by Steven Marlo. Unfortunately he back signed the pictures but it's still a great addition to our Trek cast. That's it for this week. Hopefully it picks back up next week but until then have a great graphing weekend and I'll be back next week with more TTM autographs and addresses.

Cpt. Caveman's TTM Autographs #84

-
Welcome back to another weekly TTM success post. So by now I'm sure most everyone has seen the upcoming private signing with Patriots QB Tom Brady with prices that are just insane. For the low low price of around $2000 you can mail Brady a football to get signed. That's right you don't even get to meet him so this is basically a TTM with an outrageous price attached to it. That 2k price tag is at the top end with the ball personalized and inscribed. If you just want Brady's signature on the ball its about $1000. There's cheaper options you can send a card for just under $500 but with inscriptions adding another $250-450 it gets closer to a grand. I'm sorry I just can't see paying those prices for a still living and playing athlete. Yes I know he's the Goat 5x Superbowl champ but seriously you are really going to charge fans those kinds of prices. Remember he still makes millions playing so its not like the retired players who charge to sign. He's just sticking it to his fans and I know die hard Brady fans will pay that along with dealers looking to double what they paid. In all reality Brady's autographs always going to be valuable but unfortunately I don't see him holding this kind of value in the long run. Once the excitement dies down or a new hot item player pops up the prices will go way down on Brady's plus he still has a few more seasons left in that arm and plenty of years signing autographs to go. No way id pay those prices ever. For that amount I could purchase a Beatle autograph lol. Give me Montana or Brees any day and they both sign for free. Anyways now on to this week's successes. Monday brought a great return from baseball Hall of Famer Mike Schmidt. He signed the card we sent and took only two weeks to return. Tuesday brought an amazing success from Gary Klar who played Steele in one of our favorite zombie films the original "Day of the Dead". He only signed one of the pictures we sent but he sent an a super cool package with some extras for us also. A truly great guy and only took one week to return. Thursday brought a great return from the original voice actor of Charlie Brown Mr. Peter Robbins. After just under a month we received both index cards back signed with little Charlie Brown sketches and he also sent a signed photo index card with a really nice thank you note on the back. Unfortunately Mr. Robbins is currently incarcerated in Chino California. So remember if you write your letter will be opened and inspected by someone and I wouldn't recommend sending anything other than index cards or small photos to get signed and make sure to send a SASE for him to return. Friday brought a return to sender from Dan Jurgens at the DC Comics address after just under a month my envelope returned RTS unable to forward so save your stamps and don't send to that address. Saturday brought two more great returns. First we finally added the amazing Gary Lockwood to our Star Trek TOS cast and to finish off the day and this week Winter received a quick 9 day return for Colin Powell who signed the one picture she sent him. That's it for this week. Remember if it has ST or FMB the address can be found on startiger.com or fanmail.biz. Have a great graphing weekend and I'll be back next week with more TTM autographs and addresses.

Cpt. Caveman's TTM Autographs #83

-
Welcome back for another weekly TTM success post. So as some of you know due to addresses being abused I thought about shutting the blog down. I have decided against that because of the love we have for this hobby and for helping other collectors and fans and because of other great collectors who reached out to keep the blog going. One big change unfortunately I will no longer share private home addresses. I will however try to point you in the right direction to help you find the address when I can. For example if you see ST or FMB under the autograph and not an address that means we found the address on startiger.com or fanmail.biz. Management, email, P.O. Box, stadium, fan club addresses anything non private will be posted as usual. If you have any problems finding an address you can send me a message on Twitter or the Cpt. Caveman's TTM Autographs Facebook page and I'll be happy to help any real collectors or fans out when i can. Besides sometimes all it takes to get you started is knowing the celebs sign TTM. Thank you all for understanding and for coming back every week. I'm just tired of seeing true fans and collectors getting shut out because greedy dealers and scammers abusing addresses until they no longer work causing fans and collectors to purchasing autographs and possibly getting scammed by one of the many forgery dealers. Not every dealer is an abuser or scammer and I appreciate the ones who do things the proper way. We do this because we love collecting autographs not for an investment or to make a quick buck but for the joy and excitement it brings us and because we're fans and I know we're not the only ones who feel that way. Anyways thanks again for understanding and now let's get on to this week's TTM successes. Monday brought two returns. First after two plus years I received my picture from "Children of the Corn" back signed on the back of the photo and my autograph card back signed from Jonas Marlowe. He also drew a small picture on the autograph card. I sent these to Texas a couple years ago and they returned from Seattle along with a nice signed letter. I put my address on both spots of my SASE so I have no clue on the return address. To finish off the day I received both pictures back signed from Dick Van Dyke after just over two months. I know he usually sends secretarials but he does occasionally sign TTM and IV tried before a few years ago and got the secretarial signatures but this time they are different. I'm not sure if they are authentic or new secs but it kind of looks like his signature just not as neat as it used to be due to his age (remember he's 91 years young ). I wrote a super letter this time so it may have worked. I'm not 100% sure about it yet so I'll have to get back with you later on this one until then I'm saying secretarial but they did return before he started filming the new Mary Poppins film in the UK. Wednesday brought a great via venue success from one of our favorite "American Horror Story" cast members Finn Wittrock. After just over a month we received both pictures and our DVD insert back signed. We sent when he was doing "Othello" but it has already finished but I think he's in another play that's coming up soon. To finish off the week Winter received her picture back signed from Francis Ford Coppola. It only took just over two weeks for this amazing return but if you try him he will only sign one item per request so don't waste time or postage sending multiple items. That's it for this week. Have a great graphing weekend and I'll be back next week with more TTM autographs and addresses.

Cpt. Caveman's TTM Autographs Mid Week Addresses

-
Welcome back to another mid week TTM address post. Some of you may have seen the "Final Post". Due to some TTM addresses being abused I was going to shut this blog down but after receiving so many wonderful messages I have decided to keep it going. We love sharing our collection and helping other real collectors and fans out so I just can't let a few bad eggs ruin it for everyone else. It's going to be a little different from now on unfortunately I will no longer be publishing private home addresses. Management, P.O. Box, stadium addresses and emails I have no problem sharing and if its a well published private address with a very responsive signer I may make an exception but in place of the address ill point you in the right direction to find it for yourself and don't worry I'm not keeping all the good addresses to myself. If your a real fan or collector and have trouble finding the address I have no problem sharing just message me on Twitter or our Facebook page and I'll be more than happy to help when I can. Thanks again everyone for the kind words and for checking our blog out every week. So here's this weeks TTM addresses remember we haven't tested these yet some we will but others have recently had a success using them. So get writing and I'll be back Friday with the favorites and Saturday with this weeks TTM success post.

Cpt. Caveman's TTM Autographs #82

-
Welcome back for another weekly TTM success post. I hope you all had a great graphing week. US forever postage stamps just went back up to $0.49 cents from $0.47. Well its about that time of year again. The baseball graphers are stocking up on official MLB baseballs and getting ready for spring training. Not only is this a great time for In Person graphers it's also a great time for TTM collectors. Spring training is one of the best time's to try for current baseball players and the future stars. Once the season actually starts the players are usually in go mode and most are more concerned with playing the game and not fan mail. So dust off that box of baseball cards and get writing and now on to this weeks TTM successes. Monday started the week off with three returns. First after only two weeks both pictures returned unsigned from Jim Nabors but he sent two Pre Printed pictures so I guess that's better than nothing. The first real success was from Whitney Rydbeck. Last October we sent a couple Friday the 13th pictures and they returned that December. So today i get a small envelope with two signed index cards From him so I'm not really sure what happened but I'm not complaining Thank you Mr. Rydbeck lol. To finish off the day an amazing via venue success from our all time favorite Disney artist Floyd Norman. We sent two pictures and a small blank autograph card to a speaking engagement he did early in 2016 and I'd written them off as a failed attempt but today we received both pictures and the autograph card back signed along with a printed signed letter and two amazing signed sketches so it was definitely worth the wait for this very cool success. Wednesday Winter received a late birthday gift from one of our favorite bands Ok Go. She sent two pictures via venue to a concert a little while back and today she received a box loaded with CD's, stickers, mini posters and a nice signed 8x10. She was super happy with this amazing success. Thursday was a great mail day with two returns. First after eight months we received both pictures back signed from Karen Allen. I loved her in "Starman" so I'm happy to get these back. To finish off the day and after exactly one year to the day we received both pictures back signed from Bill Paxton. This is one of my top favorite returns so far this year I'm a super huge fan of his. Just when I thought this TTM week couldn't get any better Saturday brought three more returns. First after just under a month we received both pictures back signed from Adina Porter. We loved her in "AHS: My Roanoke Nightmare" and she's great addition to our AHS collection. Next a great Star Trek addition when we received both pictures and an extra one back signed from Susan Howard after just under two months. To finish off this amazing mail day and week and after getting our pictures back unsigned and a couple pre prints Monday we received a really nice signed 8x10 from Jim Nabors. I guess someone finally passed our letter on to him or something I'm not sure what happened but it was very nice of him to send this one. That's it for this week. Have a great weekend and enjoy the big game Sunday. As always I'll be back next week with more TTM autographs and addresses.
