Cpt. Caveman's TTM Autographs #84

-
Welcome back to another weekly TTM success post. So by now I'm sure most everyone has seen the upcoming private signing with Patriots QB Tom Brady with prices that are just insane. For the low low price of around $2000 you can mail Brady a football to get signed. That's right you don't even get to meet him so this is basically a TTM with an outrageous price attached to it. That 2k price tag is at the top end with the ball personalized and inscribed. If you just want Brady's signature on the ball its about $1000. There's cheaper options you can send a card for just under $500 but with inscriptions adding another $250-450 it gets closer to a grand. I'm sorry I just can't see paying those prices for a still living and playing athlete. Yes I know he's the Goat 5x Superbowl champ but seriously you are really going to charge fans those kinds of prices. Remember he still makes millions playing so its not like the retired players who charge to sign. He's just sticking it to his fans and I know die hard Brady fans will pay that along with dealers looking to double what they paid. In all reality Brady's autographs always going to be valuable but unfortunately I don't see him holding this kind of value in the long run. Once the excitement dies down or a new hot item player pops up the prices will go way down on Brady's plus he still has a few more seasons left in that arm and plenty of years signing autographs to go. No way id pay those prices ever. For that amount I could purchase a Beatle autograph lol. Give me Montana or Brees any day and they both sign for free. Anyways now on to this week's successes. Monday brought a great return from baseball Hall of Famer Mike Schmidt. He signed the card we sent and took only two weeks to return. Tuesday brought an amazing success from Gary Klar who played Steele in one of our favorite zombie films the original "Day of the Dead". He only signed one of the pictures we sent but he sent an a super cool package with some extras for us also. A truly great guy and only took one week to return. Thursday brought a great return from the original voice actor of Charlie Brown Mr. Peter Robbins. After just under a month we received both index cards back signed with little Charlie Brown sketches and he also sent a signed photo index card with a really nice thank you note on the back. Unfortunately Mr. Robbins is currently incarcerated in Chino California. So remember if you write your letter will be opened and inspected by someone and I wouldn't recommend sending anything other than index cards or small photos to get signed and make sure to send a SASE for him to return. Friday brought a return to sender from Dan Jurgens at the DC Comics address after just under a month my envelope returned RTS unable to forward so save your stamps and don't send to that address. Saturday brought two more great returns. First we finally added the amazing Gary Lockwood to our Star Trek TOS cast and to finish off the day and this week Winter received a quick 9 day return for Colin Powell who signed the one picture she sent him. That's it for this week. Remember if it has ST or FMB the address can be found on startiger.com or fanmail.biz. Have a great graphing weekend and I'll be back next week with more TTM autographs and addresses.
