Welcome back for another weekly TTM successes. Sadly we lost "Mr. Hockey" last week with the passing of hockey legend Gordie Howe at the age of 88. I'm sure by now most of you have seen the sad and unfortunate news about Christina Grimmie who was shot while doing an autograph signing after her concert. Such a sad situation and a great loss. Unfortunately something like this could also easily put off other performers from signing after shows. Also in the autograph world news. A man asking for an autograph for a girl that was with him from Justin Bieber put the smack down on the Biebster after Biebs told the man "No autographs tonight Mother ______er !" ( you can fill in the blanks lol). Now I'm no fan of Bieber but I don't think he deserved to be punched. I do think he went about his refusal to sign in a completely wrong manner. As an autograph collector I have always been polite and respectful in my IP attempts. If they are busy or in a personal situation I wait or pass up the opportunity all together. Most have been very nice and polite and worse case they just ignored us. I never get mad when I'm turned down chances are I can get them TTM or I can always try again another time. With just some simple common courtesy on all sides IP autograph collecting can be an amazing hobby and an experience you will never forget. Sadly our wonderful hobby is popping up in the news more and more and with some celebs already on the fence about signing In Person and with all the others who have already stopped signing recently the future of In Person collecting and the way thing's have been done in the past is in Jeopardy. Luckily the TTM part of the hobby is thriving and there are always conventions for the IP collectors. Now on to this weeks TTM successes. Monday brought three returns. First a great return from Carel Struycken. He signed both pictures we sent taking about four months to return. Next we received both pictures back signed from Jeffrey Jones. I love how he personalized the Howard the Duck one from The Dark Over Lord. I love that movie and only three months to come back. To finish off the day Winter received two pre signed pictures from Simon Pegg. She sent one picture of him as Scotty from the new Star Trek films and got two pre signed back still a very cool success from one of our favorite actors and only took two weeks to get them. Tuesday was an amazing mail day with two great returns. First after waiting six months Winter received her picture back signed from His Holiness The Dalai Lama. An amazing success, she wrote a nice long letter and tried and we really didn't expect this one to return. To finish off the day I received both pictures back signed from the lovely Sally Field. IV been a huge fan ever since "Smoky and the Bandit" and "Places in the Heart" is one of our favorite movies and it only took her four months to reply. Thursday brought an addition to our Walking Dead collection after we received a great reply from Jason Douglas who played Tobin on the show. He signed both pictures we sent plus he sent another signed photo plus a signed thank you note and only took two and a half months to return. To finish off this super amazing TTM week I received my booklet and DVD insert from "SleepAway Camp" back signed from John E. Dunn who played Kenny in the movie. The insert was signed on the back unfortunately so its kind of hard to see but my booklet looks great and is ready for more cast signatures. It took just under two months to return. That's it for this week. Get writing those letters and ill be back next week with more TTM autographs and addresses. Have a great weekend and Happy Fathers Day to all you dads out there.
