Welcome back to another weekly TTM success post. Sadly we lost boxing legend Muhammad Ali yesterday he was 74. Im sure by now most of you have heard the news about Kiefer Sutherland no longer signing autographs In Person because of Street Dealers stalking him at his performance's so they can sell his autographs. Now he said he will still be signing at conventions and I'm still seeing Via Venue TTM returns coming back so he's still obtainable. So now Axl Rose has said in a Tweet that because of dealers selling his autographs on EBay he will no longer be signing autographs for awhile. Sadly it can just take one or two bad experiences for celebs to stop signing and once again a few bad dealers have ruined it for the rest of us. Don't get me wrong not every dealer is a bad guy some actually are very trustworthy autograph dealers and do things properly when getting items signed and selling them. I think greed has alot to do with it. If your going to every appearance with a stack of 10+ items to get signed just so you can sell them you may be part if the problem. I dont have a problem with someone trying to make a living but when it starts hurting the hobby we love I do have a problem. The celebs know what's going on. Sometimes they don't mind other times the real fans and collectors loose out because the celeb gets fed up and stops signing. Buying autographs of the Street Dealers can be a great way to pick up that autograph you just have to have. Some go and get a few nice pieces signed and sell them. The only thing i never liked about these is they are usually a rushed scribbled autograph and I wouldn't waist my money on a scribble. I also see alot of these dealers selling large numbers of items signed by hard to get signers. Sure maby they signed a couple items but your going to tell me that a movie star who rarely signs will just stop on the street to sign autographs on 15 items for an obvious dealer when they wont even sign one for real fans lol. I usually stay away from purchasing these autographs. Even though some offer exact video or photo proof of the signing. For me if there's an autograph I want and purchasing is the only option I buy only from very reputable dealer and almost always already authenticated by JSA or PSA. I don't buy autographs on Facebook. I wont even trade with other collectors on FB because of all the horror story's of people getting ripped off. If your going to spend that kind if money in the first place why not spend a little more for a guaranteed authentic signature. I see people all over the web buying these horrible looking or fake autographs and never ask any questions about how, when and where it was signed. I wouldn't make a major purchase without doing a little research or price comparison on other high end items before I buy them so why not do the same for autographs. Now on to the successes. No mail Monday because of Memorial Day so our week started Tuesday with four returns. First Winter received her picture back signed from astronaut Guion Bluford in just seven day's. Next I received an amazing VV success from Gal Gadot. We sent two pictures of her as Wonder Woman to the "Justice League" set in the UK and about a month later they returned signed. After that we received a nice Pre Signed picture from Freddie Highmore. We are loving "Bates Motel" and I'm super excited to get Norman and with a quick two week wait. To finish off the day we received all three things we sent to Carrie Fisher back signed. IV heard she does secretarial signatures TTM but I thought I'd try a super letter and see what comes back. I'm not sure on authenticity yet I haven't had time to compare to authentic examplars. You can judge for yourself until I can compare mine to others and decide on if you want to try her. Friday brought a super great return from Alan Thicke. In less than a month he signed the 8x10 and blank autograph card we sent plus he sent us another signed 8x10, a signed index card, and another signed 4x6. Such a nice guy he even paid the extra shipping and sent it with a tracking number. That's it for this week. Have a great graphing weekend and ill be back next week with more TTM autograph collecting goodness.

Hi, Can you please let me know where to send for Gal Gadot? as you only said you sent to Justice League set. Thank a lot!
ReplyDeleteSorry unfortunately that was sent via venue to the new justice league movie set when it was filming. The address is no longer valid and doesn't work for her now so I don't post them when they are no longer valid so people wont waste stamps trying the addresses.
ReplyDeleteJust FYI the fishers are definitely secretarial signatures
