Welcome back to another weekly TTM success post. I see alot of musicians that now offer signed CD booklets or signed posters or lythos when you order or pre order a new album being released. This can be a great way to add hard to get autographs to your collection but unfortunately some artists are sending autopen or ghost signed signatures instead of authentic hand signed autographs. To unsuspecting fans this may go unnoticed but alot of autograph collectors who have ordered them have started to point out that some artists signatures are not what they appear to be and have been signed by an autopen machine. Demi Lovato, Lana Del Rey and Dolly Parton are a few artists that have recently been called out for using AP or ghost signers and now rumors of Adam Levine and Maroon 5 are sending autopen signatures. PledgeMusic is one of the companies selling items like this and I wonder if it's the companies doing this just trying to boost record sales and then getting overwhelmed by the numbers of orders they receive and can't actually fulfill them with authentic hand signed items so they start using an autopen. I really don't want to believe it's the artists doing this and purposely ripping off fans but that's also a possibility. If you plan on ordering something like this please read the fine print some actually say the items are digitally signed while others don't mention anything other than offering autographed items. So it may be a gamble when you order. Luckily most items I've seen being offered have been ok and actually signed but some of the bigger names haven't. So as always do your homework and research before purchasing and even then be prepared that the items you ordered may not be what they claim to be when they arrive in your mailbox. Now for this weeks TTM successes. Monday brought four returns. First a great return from the legendary Joan Baez who sent a wonderful signed 8x10 after just over one year and three months. Next we received both of our Walking Dead pictures back signed by Xander Berkeley. He even sent a nice note and took ten months to return. After that a wonderful return from E.G. Daily who signed our "Duckman" DVD cover and took one year to return. To finish off the day we received our "Star Trek" picture back signed by Eddie Paskey after only one month and he even sent an extra signed 8x10. To finish off the week Friday brought a great via venue success when we received our "Galaxy Quest" DVD cover that was previously signed by Tim Allen back signed by Tony Shalhoub after only ten days. That's all for this week. Have a great graphing weekend and I'll be back next week with more TTM autographs and address's.
