Welcome back for another weekly TTM success post. I wanted to talk a little about private signings. A private signing can be a great way to add a hard to get signer to your collection. Unfortunately this option is getting more and more expensive. Most everyone has seen the $1000+ Tom Brady private signing or the insanely high prices Harrison Ford was charging and I know people pay those prices or they wouldn't be charging that much but come on really. IV purchased from private signings that's how I finally got my Tim Curry from the Hollywood show and it wasn't super expensive it cost me just over $100 and it's one of my favorite pieces but I just can't justify paying $600-1000+ for a still living big name celeb. Iv seen some great companies doing private signings but im also seeing alot of In Person dealers advertising a private signing and in reality they're still chasing them on the streets or at airports and calling it a private signing. So make sure you do your homework and purchase from reputable dealers or companies who regularly hold actual private signings like Tristar, Upper Deck, The Hollywood Show and Steiner just to name a few. Now on to this weeks TTM successes. Monday started the week off with two returns. First a great reply from Catherine Mary Stewart who signed both pictures we sent plus she sent two extra signed pictures and only took four months to reply. To finish off the day we received both pictures back possibly signed by Kiefer Sutherland. I tried a couple years ago and got the standard secretarial signatures back but this time they're different. Closer to his actual signature but I'm still not convinced yet and will be doing some more research so for now I'm calling them new secretarials and it only took just under two months for them to return. Wednesday brought a cool success from the West Virginia Mountaineers head coach Dana Holgorsen. I filled out a request form on the teams website and about three months later I received a nice signed 8x10. Friday brought one return when both Star Trek pictures came back signed from Mary Linda Rapelye after only three weeks. To finish off the week Saturday brought one more return when we received both Star Trek pictures and a nice handwritten thank you note back from Shari Nims after just over a month.
