Cpt. Caveman's TTM Autographs #38

Welcome back to another weekly TTM success post. Well sad news everyone. It looks like the days of free TTM autographs from legendary Batman actor Adam West may be over. Im seeing returns coming back unsigned with a letter saying do the the over whelming number of requests he's no longer able to sign and you must now purchase from his website. He has been cutting back on signing some recently and was more selective of who he signed for TTM but he was at least still signing but it looks like he's finally gotten burnt out and stopped all together. Ill keep you updated as more returns come in. You may have noticed our success numbers have dropped a little. Going from 5-8 successes a week down to 3-4 a week. This week being an exception. Its not because we are sending less requests but rather we are doing more VV addresses and some harder to get signers. There is never any guarantee that anything we send will ever return but sometimes you get lucky. VV or Via Venue is a great way to attempt to get a celeb that may not have a fan mail address or to try for those attempts at the mega celebs that normally dont or wont sign. They still might not sign but at least you tried. VV is also a great way to obtain musicians or band autographs. These celebs are usually out touring and on the road alot so sometimes its the only way to get there autographs. VV does however take a little more work. You have to find show dates, venue addresses, a good thing to do is email the venue to see if they even pass on fan mail. Timing of your request is more important. Maby its only a one day show and your letter has to get there just before they do( I usually send 5-7 days before the show for musicians). For plays and TV/film venues you may have a longer window to mail your request. Remember do your research. Anyways good luck on all your TTM attempts and now on to this weeks successes. Monday had one return from Silver age Comic book inker Joe Giella. He did alot of amazing work for DC back in the 50's and 60's and just around three weeks to return. He even sent a letter telling how we can purchase a commissioned piece from him if we would want one. Wednesday only had one return but an amazing one. After six months we got both pictures from the film DUNE back signed by music legend and ex Police front man Sting. We love his music and Dune has been one of my favorite movies since I was a kid. Thursday brought another reply. In under a month we both got a signed 8x10 of Nellie Oleson from Little House on the Prairies Alison Arngrim. Friday brought a very cool success from one of our favorite artists Margaret Keane. In just under a month we received two signed postcards of her paintings, an unsigned postcard, a nice signed letter telling us about her faith and religion, and a couple pamphlets. Super amazing reply. We used a private address I was asked not to share but there are addresses out there you can find and try with a little research. I recommend seeing the film "Big Eyes" if you haven't already its an interesting film based on her life. To finish off the week we received two returns Saturday. First in just over a week we got our picture of Rick Dees back signed. He also sent us some small pocket calendars. To finish off the day winter received another Tuskegee Airmen success when her picture returned signed from Eugene Richardson Jr. and also just over a week to return. That's it for this week. Have a great weekend and ill be back next week with more TTM autograph collecting goodness.
