Cpt. Caveman's TTM Autographs #8

Hello and welcome back everyone to another exciting week in TTM autograph collecting. I hope everyone had a great week I know we did but before we get to that I thought id talk more about what item you want to get autographed. For us I like 4x6 photos because there cheaper to print and easier to store (and I know .32 cents per photo isn't that bad but if your sending 1000+ photos a year it adds up) but we have many non photo items in our collection. Signed cards, albums, posters, CD booklets, DVD or Bluray covers, baseballs and golf balls to signed gloves and hockey masks, index cards, business cards and even on scraps of paper, post cards, comic books, sketches and t-shirts. We started to contact some of our favorite authors to see if we could get them to sign a copy of our book or send us a signed bookplate to add to our collection and signed first edition books are highly collectable and another great item to have autographed. Its really all a matter of choice some people want nothing but signed 8x10's others get everyone to sign baseballs there really is no wrong choice but also remember bigger or awkward sized items are going to cost more in shipping both ways so that's another thing to keep in mind. Some celebs wont sign anything you send them instead they send one of there own photos signed. Some people try to get the autographs of entire casts of certain shows on photos or posters and those are amazing and we even have a Walking Dead cast signed poster autographed by 23 people from conventions but IV always been afraid to send something already signed TTM since IV had some bad luck with the USPS and opened envelopes or totally destroyed envelopes so I'm not that brave yet. Now for in person autographs I'm not picky at all if I happened to run across someone and all i have is a store receipt that's what's getting signed lol but I always keep a few of my blank autograph cards in my wallet just incase. Like I said earlier its all a matter of choice, just collect what you like and what you enjoy and you will grow an amazing collecting that you will love as much as we do ours. So now on to the weeks successes. First Monday brought two successes one TTM from an amazing actor Wes Studi who has been in so many great films like The Last of the Mohicans, Dances with Wolfs, and Geronimo and only a 10 day wait. Next Winter finally got her membership package from the William Shatner international fan club for $24 you get a signed 8x10 of Shatner as Captain Kirk and four news letters a bookmark and membership to a private forum and a members only facebook page, the photo even comes with a COA. Ill add a link at the bottom of the post for those interested but seeing how he sells autographed photos on his website starting at $70 and for what he charges at conventions $24 is a bargain it took five months to get but that's only because they ran out of signed photos and had to wait for Shatner to sign more but most of the time I looks like a month or two wait. Tuesday brought an amazing reply from Barry Gibb of the Bee Gee's. We sent him my trading card of all three brothers from the movie Sgt. Peppers lonely hearts club band and it returned signed in just under five months. IV always loved the there music and Barry's singing and its great to add the last remaining Gibb brother to our collection. Remember if you write him he only signs one item if you send more than one he will sign one and send the rest back with a note explaining why. Well that's is this week ill be back Wednesday with a bunch of working addresses I have found until then happy graphing.
