Cpt. Caveman's TTM Autographs Special Bonus Graphing The Saints Part 5

-

Welcome back to another bonus In Person Graphing post. We missed the Saints training camp Friday because of the weather and work but headed back out Saturday do some more IP graphing. The weather was perfect today and that along with it being a Saturday brought alot of people out to see the Saints. When we got to the sports complex it was already packed along the signing line so Winter got her stuff ready and headed to the kids section. I found my spot down towards the entrance to the kids zone and watched the team practice and talked with a few other graphers while we waited for them to finish up. Once practice wrapped up the players signing today walked over and started working their way down the line. Unfortunately not alot signed today but we still managed 16 autographs between the two of us. After the regular players finished signing it was time for the Quarterbacks to sign. Well McCown went down past all the kids and signed a few for people not in the line and went inside. He didn't even hit the kids section. Next Garrett Grayson came over and signed for everyone he's a really nice guy. After he finished up Brees ran down and went into the media tent for interview's. Everyone was waiting on Drew to come back out and when he did he stopped and talked to more media before finally heading inside the building leaving alot of disappointed children and fans screaming his name. So no Brees today but we still had a great time getting other autographs and we still have tomorrow to try and add Brees and McCown to my picture of the three QB's together and Winter want's Drew to sign the picture of him and her together. The Saints are headed out to play the Patriots next week and are leaving here Monday but they're coming back on August 13th. So that will give us a few days to dig out some more card and print more pictures out to get signed when they return. Hopefully if all goes well tomorrow ill be back with another IP graphing bonus post. So until then have a great weekend and enjoy a few pictures from today's training camp and the autographs we got from graphing The New Orleans Saints.

Cpt. Caveman's TTM Autographs #56

-
Welcome back to another weekly TTM success post. We've still been graphing the New Orleans Saints training camp this week. Well when it's not been raining we have anyways. We have also had great success graphing with the Saints by adding over 100 autographs to our collection including 8 from Drew Brees. I didn't want everyone to feel left out this week so did you know you don't need to actually attend the training camps to try and get autographs. Training camps either baseball or football are great times to try for some TTM autographs by sending your requests to the football training camps or spring training during baseball season. Its pretty easy and all you need to do is find the location and address of the training camp. Usually the stadium or team address's that are found on the teams websites work. Every thing else is exactly like normal TTM requests. Make sure you put in a SASE with your letter, cards or pictures for the return and stick it all in the mail. So if you can't actually make it to the camps you can still try for some of your favorite players before they get to busy with the regular season. Now on to this weeks TTM successes. Monday brought two returns. First an odd but very cool VV return from Thom Yorke of Radiohead. We sent a really nice letter and a couple pictures to the concert at Madison Square Garden. Less then a week after the show I received my SASE back with both pictures returned but instead of an autograph both had a smiley face drawn in black sharpie. Kinda odd but still happy I love Radiohead. To finish off the day I received a pre signed photo from Michael Caine. We sent two different pictures but I'm happy with a pre signed autograph from this amazing actor and only took around two months to return. Friday brought two returns. First a great success from the writer of some of my favorite Superman comic books Dan Jurgens. He signed both comics I sent and also sent me a signed card. "Super" cool success and only took about three weeks to return. To finish off the day I received both pictures back signed along with two nice signed 8x10's from Pamelyn Ferdin. Great addition to my Trek collection and a very cool return from an amazing actress that's done some great work from "Star Trek" and The original "Charlie Brown" cartoon to acting along side Clint Eastwood in "The Beguiled" and took just under four months to return. Saturday brought an amazing and fast return from Goosebumps author R.L. Stine. Winter loves his books and a great addition to our authors collection. That's it for this week. I hope everyone has a great and safe weekend and I'll be back next week with more TTM autographs and addresses.

Cpt. Caveman's TTM Autographs Special Graphing The Saints part 4

-

Welcome back for another special graphing the Saints training camp bonus post. The Saints had Tuesday off and Wednesday we didn't go because it was raining and didn't want to get our stuff wet because you're not aloud to have umbrellas in there. So we headed back Thursday morning. We arrived and headed down to the lower practice field and started to look for a spot along the line. More people showed up today and it was pretty crowded along the signing line but we found a good spot towards the end. Their isn't a kids section down in the lower field so Winter had to get in their and work for it like the rest of us. We watched another great practice and waited for them to finish up. The Saints are looking great this year and hopefully there ready for the first pre season game against the Patriots next Thursday. Once they finished up the players started to trickle over and started signing. It was hit and miss with alot of them today but a few players made sure they stopped for anyone that wanted an autograph or photo. I worked on another multi signed photo and got a couple cards signed while Winter worked on her mini helmet. We had a blast and everyone along the line was nice with no shoving today. Once the other players finished signing it was time for Brees to sign. As always everyone starts yelling for him but he motioned that he'd be over in I few minutes to sign because his wife and kids showed up to see him. For the next 30 min everyone watched Drew and his kids play on the field just being a dad with his kids and not the future HOF Quarter back. It was fun to watch and i think he did it to thin out the autograph seeking crowd because alot left after several minutes assuming he wasn't going to sign since his family was their. Ah but he said he would so we waited and it payed off. He started at the end opposite to us but quickly moved down the line signing and taking photos. When he finally gets to us Winter has brought him a bracelet she made for him and gave it to him and asked for a picture. He thanked her for the gift saying he loved it and posed for the picture then signed her helmet. He's such a nice guy he was really great to everyone. I got him to sign my picture and thanked him again and then Winter pulled her card out and got him to sign it to so she got him twice today. After that we walked back to the car and headed home. Another great graphing day with 24 autographs including 3 Drew Brees autos for our collection. Hopefully tomorrow the rain holds off but it looks like its coming our way. If it doesn't rain we're headed back for more so until then enjoy a few pictures from today and our autographs from the New Orleans Saints Training Camp.

Cpt. Caveman's TTM Autographs Special Graphing The Saints part 3

-

Welcome back for another special graphing the Saints training camp bonus post. We took the weekend off because we already racked up 68 autographs including 3 Drew Brees autos the first 2 days and figured it would be a packed shoving match during weekend so we went to visit my grandmother. I almost went Sunday but decided id stay home and print a few pictures to try and get signed when we went back on Monday. Unfortunately just my luck the day I talked myself out of going just happened to be the day Peyton Manning showed up. Talk about kicking myself after seeing pictures of Manning and Brees together on the Saints facebook page. We didn't miss Monday I wasn't taking any changes and I was really hoping Manning didn't come all the way to WV for just one day. Unfortunately before we even got there this morning I checked Manning's Twitter and he was already gone and at the Dolphins training camp. Oh well lol. After we arrived I asked another grapher that was there Sunday about Peyton and he said we didn't miss much because he didn't sign autographs or even come over to the fans and just hung out on the field with the coaches and players and left. When we got there we went to go find us a spot along the fence when I noticed that they now had an area set aside just for kids 12 and under. That was so much better for the kids and kept the old pushy adults away so the kids could get autographs. Winter had a mini helmet to get signed today along with another Brees card stuck in her purse. So after I got her set up in the kids section I found a spot a few yards away just at the entrance of the kids zone. Adults could stand behind the kids but couldn't get autographs. I had a pretty nice spot next to a few friendly collectors on the left and on my right and taking up most of the section right before the kids started was a family of three dealers lol. I'm not kidding Mom, Dad and a son probably 14ish with bags of balls, helmets, shirts, DVDs, 8x10's and binders with pages full of most of the Saints players football cards but multiples copies of the same card. Lol I'm talking 20-30 of every card. I kinda got nervous thinking most players would probably pass them by. How did I know they were dealers you ask? Because along with all the exact proof photos the were taking they discussed how much they should list them for once the players left and they made sure to tell everyone were not dealers lol. Only one player actually took the time to sign more than one for them Marcus Murphey and he signed anything anyone had was super nice. Anyways practice ran a little longer today but finally the players started to trickle over and sign. There wasn't as many signing today but we still managed 22 autographs. Most of the ones that signed made sure to hit the kids section first then worked there way up towards us. Winter got everyone on her mini helmet and got Brees on another card. I asked her why not on her mini helmet but she said she'll get him on it before the weeks out. That's her 3rd card that she's got him to sign so far but he is her favorite player. I got them on a nice 8x10 a few players started at the people just before me and worked there way towards the kids. Brees started with the kids and after that came up to us. I got him on my picture. Luckily he signed my picture pretty quickly so I could get out of the melee because once he starts it gets a little crazy. The dealer family started complaining when everyone started to shove us all forward in a sea of arms, footballs and helmets all reaching towards Drew. It's always fun and exciting. We also got to see a fight on the field between a few players but they broke it up pretty quickly. We had a great day with another double Brees success. The Saints have Tuesday off but if its not raining Wednesday were going back for more. Until then enjoy some pictures from today and the autographs we received.
